Pop culture has shaped my life
Pop culture has shaped my life in more ways then one. I don’t think that anyone’s life has yet to be shaped by some form of pop culture. In today’s day in age everything that is done or watched or even listened to help to shape our future. Whether it is what we are wearing, what we think is ok to watch, who we idolize, and what we end up enjoying. People are controlled by pop culture in i.e. the media. The media tells us what we should like and, what we shouldn’t. We depict or mimic petty much everything we do from people we see or hear about. When I think about when I was in high school I think about what influenced me to listen to the stuff I listened to. To dress the way I did as well as to act the way I acted. I think that I based most of the stuff I did off of things I seen on TV or what the popular people or celebrities were doing wearing or listening too. For example when a new song came out on mtv or on the radio they played it so much you could not help but to like it or they talked it up so much you just wanted to buy it with out even listening to the song itself. Pop culture had a great influence on my life and still does today.

I would have to say what you said on the media is pretty much right on and how they control a lot of what we do. But with the over played music I cant stand it. I might talk about it but I barely ever listen to the over played music.
The media is a very large part of popular culture. It some point in time we all have or will participate in something related directly or indirectly with pop culture. The media tells us the things we should and shouldn't do and the average citizen does it.
i agree that we are easily influenced. but i also think that it depends on yourself as an individual. some, unlike others, are more naiive and want to be like pretty much the rest of the world. i think that it especially pertains to high schoolers or young minded individuals. people are weak minded.thats just how things work.
i deffinitley agree with the influence by the media. they basically control what we buy and wear and all of that stuff. if the media isn't influencing us though, we influence each other in one way or another.
I agree completely with the part of your blog having to do with media, whether radio or television. How many times has someone changed their minds on a song because they have heard it so many times that they couldn't help but like it?
Everyone does participate in pop culture. It just happens almost without people noticing.
