Cyber Technology
Cyber technology is just as big of an influence as pop culture. More then likely people spend most of their daily time online some sort of way. People use all types of things to connect with other people or to entertain themselves. It is a big part of most peoples lives whether we would like to believe it or not it is. If the world did not have the Internet think of what we would be doing. We would not even have this class to participate in. In the world today we need this technology to function to pretty much do anything. Think about what we would do if we could not use the latest technology ie laptops, computers, ipods, cell phones, pdas. Even some house hold appliances, could we stand not to have these items now that we are accustomed to them. Of course not.

yea i would have to say technology has shaped alot of what we do and makes our lives so much easier. with things like microsoft word and spell check to google and mapquest its all just great stuff that makes our lives that much easier. and i probably could live without these things but it would just be so much harder and take to much time.
The realization of this blog is great because we do so much on the internet or the cyberculture world. We buy, read, or simply just are entertained by the cyber world. To be honest, I could not even begin to realize if we lived in a society with no internet. But I think that with this technology your everyday tasks do become so much more easier.
i kind of agree with you but not fully. people do spend most of the time using cyber culture in some way. such as this class, online games, AIM, recipes, lyrics, band sights, downloading free music (legally or ilegally), making music, art, work, e-mail... everything. but that's only b/c we have it. it makes our lives easier and it keeps improving. it's not necassarily that we are all lazy and just want the quick and easy way out of things, it's just that its so accesible and we rely on it for everything. but like you asked, what would we do without these appliances or technology? if we never had them? no, we would not be in this class. we would have to do things on our own and find other means of sources to help us out. like Ryan said- without mapquest, it would take us a lot longer to find where we were going. but that is what a map is for. without spell check on word we have to look up the word in a dictionary. we would probably be smarter and have a wider vocabulary if anything. so i think that if we didnt have any of this stuff, we would be fine. we wouldnt know anything of this cyberculture and faster ways. we would be accustomed to what we have and don't have. think of all the other countries who have none of this. they are doing with what they have and they are still happy. we are so spoiled and we dont even know it.
